I’ve been meaning to post this for some time… The following list was sent to me by Sarah-Louise at work… it’s really quite representative if you want to understand the British better… especially my generation in some places… anyone born in the mid-70’s, I’d say.

Critical documentary on the setting up of the Federal Reserve System… very thought provoking. Are we now seeing the setting up of a banking mega-cartel?

Rahim recently referred to a FastCompany article on how China is exploiting resources in Africa, and his concerns that Africa will become an empty husk.
There was a special report on the BBC last night about how China’s hunger to fuel growth at home requires it to source large amounts of raw materials, this time a Chinese mining company, Chinalco, has bought Mount Toromocho for US$3bn cash. Standing at 15,000 feet (4,600m), and containing two billion tonnes of copper ore this mountain will eventually dissapear. The ore will be mined and processed to electrify the whole of China.
Will countries like Peru face the same fate that Rahim alludes to? Will it become an empty husk? I share his concerns.
Here’s a video (time-lapse) of the One Day Poem Pavillion by Jiyeon Song. In this world of fast forward, here’s a message to make sure we enjoy every moment, and not worry about the small stuff.
